I had an outstanding experience at Austin Sunshades Tint & Sound. After researching windshield ceramic tint extensively, I chose them to install 3M Crystalline CR BLK 80 on my new 2026 Subaru Forester Sport Hybrid, and I’m very glad I did. Robert was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and transparent. He took the time to answer all of my questions about different films, heat rejection, visibility, and compatibility with Subaru EyeSight. I never felt pressured—just well informed. What impressed me the most was his dedication to quality. Even though the shop closed at 6:00 PM, Robert stayed until 7:15 PM to make sure the installation was completed properly instead of rushing the job. That level of professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction is hard to find. The workmanship is excellent, the windshield looks crystal clear, and I have complete confidence knowing they are an authorized 3M dealer and back their work with a lifetime warranty. If you’re looking for premium window tint in the Austin area, I highly recommend Austin Sunshades and Robert. Excellent service, outstanding craftsmanship, and a business that truly cares about doing the job right.

Great place for window tinting, car audio, and radar detector installation. I initially went to get a radar detector installed and discovered that they are car audio installers that carry some of my favorite brands. The radar detector install was done very nicely and looks like it came this way from the factory. I subsequently have ordered a major car audio upgrade and look forward to getting that installed shortly. Very knowledgeable and experienced folks. Don't hesitate!

I have been both a vendor and a customer of Robert and Austin Sunshades for nearly 20 years, and they have been outstanding to work with in both capacities. They offer far more than basic tinting services, and they do so with a level of expertise that is difficult to find anywhere else in town. If you need window tint, the products they offer are top-notch. If you need a high-end installation on an expensive or luxury vehicle, this is the shop the luxury dealerships trust with their custom work. I can’t speak highly enough about Robert, his team, their professionalism, or the quality of their work. Highly recommended.

These guy a great. Easy going and friendly with expertise. I’ve had many car stereos installed in my day and these guys know their stuff. They installed tint and an audio system that sounds better than any system I have ever had installed in Austin over the years, the dad knows how to tune car audio systems very well and the clarity and accuracy in the music is what speaks to me. They hit the mark for car audio for me in my new truck. Window tint is the ceramic iR series that has blocked the heat very well. They scanned and 3Dprinted my a pillar pods and installed them for a very clean look. Highly recommended. I’m from Kyle and drive the extra miles for their work ethics. Call them for an appointment they stay busy.

Amazing service from start to finish! Robert and his son Lil Rob are seriously the best. Rob was so kind and went above and beyond by giving us a ride home after we dropped the car off, then picking us back up when it was ready. That alone speaks volumes about their customer care. I had just registered my first car in Texas and had no idea I needed an emissions test. Robert walked me through it and even pointed me to the oil change place right next door to get it done. Super helpful and stress-free. The window tint came out perfect and the whole experience was smooth, professional, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they really care about their customers. I’m extremely happy with the outcome and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and top-tier service. Looks like a complete different car... I LOVE IT ❤️
